About The Position

CareSTL Health is seeking a Director of Accounting. The Director of Accounting directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of CARESTL HEALTH's revenue cycle activities. The Director of Accounting plans and directs accounting activities within CareSTL Health. This position has responsibility for demonstrating the core values of CareSTL Health: Customer Service, Community, Commitment, Compassion, and Competence.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience required
  • Good oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational and self-motivational skills.
  • Proficient with Excel for analytics.
  • Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating and presenting financial statements to CFO on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for managing organizational budget.
  • Responsible for Medicaid and Medicare cost report preparation and submission.
  • Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and payroll.
  • Supervise grant and contract fiscal reporting and requirements.
  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
  • Directs the maintenance of legers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses and insurance records.
  • Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
  • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls.
  • Performs general support activities and carries out special projects as required.
