The Director of Academic Planning and Strategy is a dynamic, evolving position responsible for the development, implementation, and strategy of the Undergraduate Legal Education Program (ULE) at NYU Law, and designed to scale alongside the program it supports. Act as a chief advisor to the Vice Dean for University Partnerships and the Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs on all aspects of ULE and is a core member of the program’s senior leadership team. In partnership with the Vice Dean and the Associate Dean, develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and academic programming. Provide strategic leadership, expert advisement, thought partnership, and incisive operational and analytical insights. Focus on foundational design, research, and implementation in the early stage, establishing core curriculum, structures and processes. As the program expands, drive sustained excellence and optimize operations at scale, managing the program and developing a growth-oriented strategic plan that enhance the NYU Law brand. Catalyze action within immediate team and across various schools and central university units, through persuasive communication, strong collaborative relationships, and evidence-based strategic planning. This role is designated hybrid, but will be remote for a period of time at the outset. The incumbent will need to be able to commute to campus as needed throughout employment, including the initial remote period.
