About The Position

The Business Strategy Planning Director is responsible for business unit strategic planning and customer insight work. This role will be accountable for working across the Carelon organization to build and implement innovative Payment Accuracy solutions that face out to the External market and will be responsible for implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Automation across the Payment Integrity solutions (internal and external).

Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3-to-5-year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

• Strong leadership abilities in the areas of communication, influence, negotiation, innovation and execution are strongly preferred.
• Product development lifecycle experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
• Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
• Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives.
• Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
• Responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.
• Full, end to end suite of solutions successfully rolled out in the market
• Identify, rationalize and operationalize the use of Artificial Intelligence for and with Payment Integrity (Operations, Support Staff, and Technology).
• Increased revenue driven by external facing Payment Integrity solution.
• Increased medical cost savings by implementation of artificial intelligence - eliminating repetitive tasks and letting highly skilled resources focus on driving value.
• Travels to worksites and other locations as necessary.
