About The Position

As a Director at LJA Energy, You will lead pipeline engineering design and execution across projects throughout the United States. This role is responsible for technical leadership, client engagement, and resource management while supporting the full lifecycle of pipeline projects. You will also play a key role in building and mentoring a team of engineers and supporting the growth of the pipeline engineering organization.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of post-graduate experience in pipeline projects.
  • Experience being in responsible charge of pipeline-related projects.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working teams with both employees and clients.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil).
  • Deep knowledge of pipeline industry practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration, or Electrical Engineering (Power Systems).
  • Experience in oil & gas, renewables
  • Business development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leading pipeline engineering teams in the design and execution of projects transporting natural gas, crude oil, natural gas liquids, and carbon dioxide across the U.S.
  • Managing project delivery including staffing, scheduling, QA/QC, and coordination with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the full project lifecycle including concept development, detailed design, construction support, RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
  • Mentoring junior staff and supporting hiring, team growth, and resource planning in collaboration with leadership.
