Requirements

  • Experience owning complex category strategies and delivering long-term business plans
  • Deep understanding of fashion trends and customer preferences, translating insights into commercially impactful assortment strategies
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to use data to inform decisions (customer, competition, trends)
  • Omni-channel mindset with digital acumen to drive growth
  • Strong supplier partnership and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence across cross-functional partners and communicate clearly.
  • People leadership strength and a passion for developing talent
  • Ownership, resilience, and comfort operating with autonomy in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising , or related field and 5 years’ experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area. OR 7 years’ experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own category strategy and growth across stores and eCommerce, aligned to broader Walmart priorities
  • Lead business planning (budgeting/forecasting) and turn insights into clear actions
  • Drive assortment and modular strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Lead supplier strategy and negotiations; build and influence key supplier relationships
  • Use data and market insights to anticipate customer needs and competitive trends.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team; set direction, enable execution, and sponsor continuous learning
  • Improve performance and the customer experience through innovation and test-and-learn
