About The Position

This is a rare, ground-floor opportunity to build the medical affairs and clinical strategy function at a high-growth single-cell, multi-omics company expanding into clinical applications through partnerships. You will support defining the clinical strategy (clinical positioning and intended-use framing, evidence roadmap) while also leading day-to-day execution that turns partnerships into measurable clinical and business outcomes. As a visible cross-functional leader working with KOLs, strategic partners, and internal teams, you’ll help shape how the platform is developed, adopted, and scaled in clinical settings. This position will report to Chief Medical Officer, Zivjena Vucetic M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Vucetic, is a physician-scientist with over 15 years of experience leading clinical and medical affairs at a global scale. Known for her ability to build regulatory confidence and accelerate clinical adoption, Dr. Vucetic provides a masterclass in medical strategy. As Director​ of Medical Affairs & Clinical Strategy you will collaborate with her to set the global standard for how single-cell multi-omics informs the next generation of drug development and patient care.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD/DO/PhD/PharmD) or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in medical affairs, clinical strategy, translational science, clinical program leadership, or clinical/product-facing roles in diagnostics, genomics/NGS, or complex clinical testing platforms.
  • Proven track record leading external-facing programs/partnerships with cross-functional execution responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to build evidence strategies and translate clinical needs into actionable requirements.
  • Strong communication skills; credible with clinicians, lab leaders, and scientific partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Hematologic malignancy and/or MRD testing experience; lab medicine workflows and clinical reporting familiarity.
  • Experience with partner-led clinical programs (academic centers, reference labs, pharma, consortia).

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Partnerships: Day-to-Day Leadership
  • Lead clinical partnerships from kickoff through delivery: align objectives, define deliverables, drive timelines, and ensure follow-through.
  • Run partner governance: agendas, action tracking, decision logs, risk/issue management, and escalations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across R&D/bioinformatics, operations, and commercial teams to deliver partner success.
  • Own partner-facing clinical/scientific working sessions and ensure scope, expectations, and outputs remain aligned
  • Medical Affairs & External Engagement
  • Build the medical affairs engine: KOL mapping, advisory boards, key site relationships, and clinical advocacy.
  • Represent the company credibly in external clinical settings: advisory boards, congress strategy, partner diligence, and scientific communications.
  • Clinical Strategy & Positioning
  • Help to define and maintain clinical positioning, intended-use framing, and claims hierarchy for pivotal and future clinical applications.
  • Create clear, rigorous clinical narratives and materials for partners, clinicians, and internal teams.
  • Evidence Strategy
  • Build and drive evidence plans appropriate for partner-led programs (performance, reproducibility, endpoints, cohorts, comparators, success metrics).
  • Translate partnership learnings into an evidence roadmap; lead publication/abstract strategy in collaboration with partners and R&D.
  • Cross-Functional Enablement
  • Convert clinical workflows into actionable product requirements inputs (reporting, QC, turnaround time, usability, integration) in partnership with Product/Marketing and R&D.
  • Equip Commercial/BD with consistent medical content: decks, objection handling, clinical FAQs, and training (BD retains ownership of pipeline and commercial terms).
