Material Control supports most of Subways in various respects: providing cleaning and clerical supplies, liaison to Procurement and Supply Logistics (Stations & Service Delivery), personal protective equipment and supplies (MOW, Facilities, Stations, Service Deliveries), pandemic supplies, radios, purchases in support of projects and everyday needs. Material Control also tracks forecasts of commodity items and reconciles the forecasts against usage, prepares and track the submissions of requisitions through PeopleSoft from inception to ensuring the material and services are provide, troubleshooting when necessary, and entering receipts to help ensure prompt payment, working with Procurement to ensure materials meet NYCT specifications, making changes and corrections when needed, track delivery of supplies throughout Stations ensuring sufficient inventory, and providing various reports on all the above. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the operations at three locations.
