As the Director of Health Marketing, you will act as a senior, solution-oriented leader who thrives on developing lasting relationships between client and agency teams. You will lead internal initiatives to support client engagements and position them to introduce new solutions effectively to changing market conditions. Utilizing deep industry knowledge, you will inspire team members to make our strategies, campaigns, and experiences more innovative and effective. This role requires strategic and executional consulting and expertise in all aspects of account management.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of experience in brand/demand marketing with a proven track record of developing strategies and overseeing complex workstreams.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the advertising industry, particularly within MERGE's key verticals: Health Plans, Health Providers, Specialty Healthcare, Lifestyle, and Financial Services.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with an engaging and trusted presence.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in ensuring quality content creation and working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Integrated Marketing: Lead and support both brand and demand initiatives for MERGE marketing.
  • Health Focus: Oversee the execution of performance marketing campaigns to promote MERGE’s brand, offerings, and partnerships specifically within the Health vertical.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with the CMO and brand marketing teams to develop and execute the strategic plan for brand growth, defining target markets to bring the brand story to life.
  • Demand Generation: Collaborate with sales, campaign managers, and business development teams to deliver comprehensive demand generation plans for the Health division.
  • Trade Show Leadership: Direct full-scale trade show presence for the Health division, encompassing booth vision, attendee logistics, lead management, and onsite media coordination.
  • Event Lifecycle Management: Oversee event roadmaps, negotiate sponsorship costs, and define success through measurable outcomes and post-show nurture plans.
  • Outbound Strategy: Collaborate with communications and PR teams to refine messaging and align outbound strategy for Health.
  • Earned Media: Partner with MERGE Industry Leaders to create content that increases earned media and brand awareness for the Health vertical.
  • Research & Insights: Lead the creation and execution of health-focused research launches, translating data-driven studies into actionable content marketing campaigns and gated lead magnets.
  • Digital Optimization: Manage and optimize vertical-specific LinkedIn ad campaigns and scale paid search strategies to broader health and wellness consumer targets.
  • High-Value Programming: Coordinate webinars with key partners and clients to drive engagement and thought leadership.
  • Award Strategy: Lead high-stakes award strategies, including managing the end-to-end submission process for major industry recognitions such as Ad Age and Cannes Lions.
  • Case Study Development: Work with client success teams to identify, create, and socialize health-specific client and partner case studies.
  • Web & Social Strategy: Collaborate on website governance and partner with social media teams to evolve strategy and oversee channel performance for the Health vertical.
  • Sales Integration: Align Account-Based Marketing (ABM) lists with Salesforce data to improve marketing attribution and reduce lead leakage.
  • Data & Analytics: Collaborate on building streamlined dashboards to track website performance and campaign metrics.
  • Client Partnerships: Build parallel relationships with client marketing teams as a trusted advisor to secure joint speaking opportunities and testimonials.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and train team members, setting clear goals and managing performance to inspire a culture of "Ability, Agility, and Humility."
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate meaningful relationships across the agency, serving as a role model and trusted partner.
