About The Position

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Marketing Director to join our team. Reporting to the CSO, the Marketing Director is responsible for leading the development, execution, and optimization of the company’s marketing strategy. The position is not remote and will be required to report daily to the Corporate Headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana unless traveling for the Company. Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility. The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of the organization's marketing strategy by establishing clear objectives, policies, and long-term direction for all marketing functions. This role transforms the company’s marketing vision into actionable business plans and measurable initiatives that support growth and organizational goals. The Director oversees all core marketing operations—including market research, analytics, product planning, brand management, advertising, trade shows, and digital/web presence—to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across the department. This position also provides strong financial oversight by managing budgets, resources, and spending to maximize organizational value. Additionally, the Director develops and implements operational processes that streamline decision-making, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and strengthen overall marketing effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience within marketing or a closely related discipline
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex marketing initiatives across multiple channels
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, market research, brand management, and digital marketing
  • Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and performance measurement
  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Experience developing operational processes, improving workflow efficiencies, and fostering collaborative team environments
