About The Position

Chime is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing Technology to lead and scale our centralized MarTech organization across paid acquisition, web, lifecycle, and member engagement. This leader will own the strategy, architecture, and operations of Chime’s marketing technology ecosystem—spanning paid media technology, CMS, CRM and lifecycle platforms, DAM and brand systems, internal communications tooling, and AI-powered marketing enablement tools. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that sits at the intersection of Growth Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data. The Director of MarTech will ensure Chime’s marketing technology enables faster execution, deeper personalization, stronger governance, and scalable growth across the full member lifecycle—from acquisition through LTV expansion, product attach, and ongoing engagement. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $224,000 and up to $310,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to Define and execute a cross-channel MarTech strategy that drives acquisition efficiency, product adoption, lifecycle engagement, and long-term member value. Lead and develop a high-performing MarTech team, establishing clear ownership, operating rhythms, and scalable delivery models. Own and optimize the end-to-end marketing technology ecosystem (paid, CMS, CRM/lifecycle, DAM, AI tooling), ensuring platforms are integrated, secure, and built for scale. Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Growth leaders to translate business priorities into scalable systems that enable experimentation, personalization, and faster time-to-market. Establish governance, intake, and prioritization frameworks that reduce complexity and increase execution velocity across marketing teams. Ensure clean, reliable data flows and measurement infrastructure to support experimentation, performance optimization, and executive visibility. Own MarTech vendor strategy, including evaluation, negotiation, performance management, and stack rationalization. To thrive in this role, you have 8+ years of progressive experience in Marketing Technology, CRM/lifecycle, or digital marketing systems, including people leadership. Proven track record owning and scaling complex, cross-channel MarTech ecosystems (paid media, CMS, CRM/lifecycle, DAM, and AI-driven tools). Deep hands-on experience with modern marketing platforms such as Braze, Contentful, DAM systems, and emerging AI-enabled marketing technologies. Demonstrated success partnering with Product and Engineering to build scalable integrations, data flows, and experimentation infrastructure. Strong strategic and systems mindset, with the ability to operate hands-on when needed. Technically fluent and data-literate — comfortable discussing APIs, schemas, integrations, experimentation frameworks, and performance measurement. Excellent communicator who can influence cross-functional stakeholders and bridge technical and non-technical teams. Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage vendors, and operate effectively in fast-moving, high-growth environments. Experience in fintech, financial services, subscription, or membership-based businesses preferred. Familiarity with AI-enabled personalization, content automation, and regulated environments including compliance and data privacy considerations preferred.
