About The Position

We are seeking a technical analytics leader to join our Marketing Analytics team and modernize our measurement planning and strategy. This role will be responsible for moving the agency from manual, Excel-based workflows to a modern data science environment. You will act as the Analytic Lead, counseling our client – a Fortune 100 automotive manufacturer – on how to employ statistical analysis to improve marketing results. You will define new processes for data ingestion and reporting, ensuring reproducible and efficient delivery of campaign insights.

Requirements

  • Coding: Proficiency in SQL and one programming language (Python or R)
  • Storytelling: Creative thinking with the ability to create concise themes and stories in analytic deliverables
  • Data Visualization: Experience automating data visualization (e.g., PowerBI) to make client deliverables more insightful and efficient
  • Statistics: Theoretical understanding from university or self-taught courses, exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing (bonus: statistical modelling)
  • Platform Experience: Experience working within Snowflake and/or Databricks environments
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to deeply to understand the business problem first, before jumping into the technology and methods
  • Dynamic Teaming: Prioritize and work on multiple projects while meetings deadlines; work collaboratively with teammates and clients to achieve common business goals
  • Marketing Data: Familiarity with CRM, website analytics, and visualization tools like Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, PowerBI, etc.
  • Technical Autonomy: Takes initiative to solve problems with minimal direction and ability to operate independently in developing and delivering work
  • Ability to Learn: Willingness and ability to pick up new tools, technologies and methods
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, management consulting, digital media, or CRM/Direct marketing
  • Ability to work on-site in Detroit, MI or New York, NY

  • Automotive Marketing background is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Modernization of Reporting: Transition existing manual reporting processes into automated workflows using Python/R and/or SQL
  • Performance Analysis: Ongoing analysis of initiative performance to provide data-driven optimization recommendations across marketing programs
  • Process Definition: Develop and document new measurement methodologies, test designs, and data requirements in a previously undefined environment
  • Data Engineering & Quality: Identify data definition and quality issues within the warehouse (Snowflake) and provide appropriate resolution through code
  • Measurement Strategy: Work with internal teams to ensure tracking needs are met and define business logic to drive marketing campaign design
  • Exploratory Analysis: Conduct rigorous exploratory data analysis (using Python or R) to answer high-profile business questions and generate actionable insights
  • Ambiguity Management: Ability to work with directional, undefined requests, and unstructured data environments to build concrete consumer insights
  • Client Management: Speak with clients to understand their business challenges work with stakeholders to define, and get access to, the data needed
