About The Position

We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic Director of IT to lead and evolve our Corporate IT function, as well as drive technology operations across our Manufacturing and Supply Chain sites. This role also includes ownership of the customer-facing IT hardware experience, particularly the lifecycle and management of laptops included as part of our product offering. Reporting to the VP of Business Systems & IT, this leader will be responsible for creating a secure, scalable, and service-oriented IT environment that supports both internal teams and external customer delivery. This is a pivotal leadership position for an operationally-minded, hands-on IT expert who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and manufacturing-integrated environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Demonstrated success scaling IT organizations
  • Deep knowledge of endpoint management, enterprise networking, VPNs, SSO (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Soti), and SaaS operations.
  • Hands-on experience with corporate IT, site IT infrastructure, and secure provisioning of customer hardware.
  • Experience supporting operational tech environments, including factory floor systems, scanners, kiosks, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of IT security, compliance, and device hardening for both corporate and customer-facing endpoints.
  • Strong communicator with a bias for action. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Security, and Engineering.
  • Comfortable working with remote teams and supporting globally distributed environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji, Soti).
  • Background in delivering hardware or software products that ship to external customers.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or similar compliance frameworks.
  • ITIL or PMP certifications.

Responsibilities

  • IT Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute the IT and InfoSec strategy across Corporate and Manufacturing.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT organization with clear roles, career paths, and accountability across IT support, infrastructure, infosecurity and endpoint management.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Ops, Engineering Security, and Product teams to align IT infrastructure with company goals.
  • Own the creation, management, and execution of the comprehensive IT budget, encompassing operational expenses (hardware, software, infrastructure, personnel, support, security) and project-related costs (CapEx/OpEx), ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational financial goals.
  • Corporate & Manufacturing IT
  • Oversee the management and security of employee devices, collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack), and enterprise SaaS systems.
  • Manage internal IT support and service desk functions to ensure high levels of employee satisfaction. (e.g., Jira)
  • Enforce policies for endpoint management, identity access (e.g., SSO), and cybersecurity posture.
  • Drive efficiencies in key IT processes including Hire-to-Retire, and Asset Management.
  • Owns the end-to-end reliability of all physical office technology and workspace infrastructure; oversees the implementation, maintenance, and uptime of integrated A/V solutions across all executive and shared meeting spaces.
  • Establish and support robust IT infrastructure in manufacturing and logistics sites, including networking, systems access, production-line hardware/software, and data integrity.
  • Ensure high availability and resilience of operational technology (OT) and Industrial IT systems.
  • Consult Product, Engineering and Customer IT teams to ensure customer hardware is secure, reliable, and scalable at launch.
  • Governance & Security
  • Implement IT governance practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001).
  • Own vendor and asset management for IT equipment and services.
  • Maintain business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery plans across sites and services.
