About The Position

The Director of Information Technology leads the Firm’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives across a dynamic and growing investment consulting environment. You will oversee a hybrid IT ecosystem that includes AWS-hosted infrastructure, Microsoft enterprise technologies, and external technology partners supporting servers, networking, and helpdesk operations. The Director of IT will be a hands-on leader, partnering closely with senior leadership to align technology with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and proactively manage risk. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on oversight, ensuring the Firm’s technology environment remains secure, scalable, and forward-looking. This position is based in Portsmouth, NH.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure and services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and tools (e.g., Arctic Wolf or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage MSPs and internal IT staff
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a scalable IT strategy aligned with business objectives, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology trends and risk
  • Oversee the Firm’s hybrid IT environment (AWS and Microsoft systems), ensuring reliability, performance, and security across all infrastructure and networks
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives in partnership with Arctic Wolf, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage and optimize relationships with external vendors and service providers, including contracts and service level agreements
  • Supervise and support internal IT resources, providing leadership and escalation support for complex technical issues
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, system documentation, and operational protocols
  • Oversee IT budgeting, procurement, and asset management to ensure efficient and effective resource allocation

  • Compensation:
  • This role is classified at grade level 9, with a starting base salary range of $122,600 - $159,400.
  • Where you fall within this range will be based on your skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We typically aim to welcome a new employee on the lower end of the given salary range to ensure room to grow as performance measures are met.
  • In addition to base pay, all positions are bonus-eligible — because we believe your contributions should be recognized and rewarded.
