About The Position

The Director of Industrial Engineering provides strategic Operations leadership for ST Engineering MRAS. The role is responsible for scaling production capacity and ensuring our facilities, people, designs, processes, and supply chain reliably and consistently; support Customer demand, maintain rigorous quality KPI/standards (Customer/AS9100/NADCAP), and meet or exceed internal business plans. In this role, you will overcome complex operations challenges with transformative solutions, help shape our strategic roadmap, and inspire cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 20+ years experience in aerospace manufacturing leadership, with a proven track record of high performance.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or MS in Operations preferred.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years-experience in Composites Manufacturing preferred.
  • Expertise in ERP (SAP preferred), lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and address complex business challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Continuous learning mindset, with a passion for staying updated with industry trends and best practices, and grit to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross functional team (Operations, Program Management, Business Development, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources) to lead development and execution of multi-year facility expansion and capital expenditure (CapEx) plans.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity, profitability, and Customer satisfaction.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all operations changes strictly adhere to applicable federal regulations, AS9100 standards, Customer requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Team Management & Leadership: Hire, develop, and retain a high performing data and metric driven industrial operations team. Be an inspiring strategic leader for a broad and multidisciplinary team from hourly technicians to senior executives.
