About The Position

The Role The Industrial Engineer Lead will work directly with production teams to implement lean manufacturing systems and improve performance. They will analyze throughput and production data, lead the development of standardized work for future products alongside the core team, support product launches, and drive continuous improvement projects in steady state operations. What You Will Do (Responsibilities) Develop, recommend, and implement changes that improve manufacturing processes and/or product quality Operate in a dynamic manufacturing environment to develop, track, and analyze Manufacturing Master Schedules to monitor progress, assess program status, and identify performance issues in a timely manner Apply critical path methodology in network development, analysis, and problem resolution Support the Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) Optimize sequence of operations and workflow Create crew plans to ensure resources are properly allocated and utilized effectively Develop metrics to monitor schedule progress and identify risk areas Improve efficiencies through waste elimination and process improvements Analyze production data to establish shop metrics, solve complex problems, and deliver data‑driven insights to industrial engineers, manufacturing and maintenance team members, production supervisors, and production associates

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in an industrial engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Global Workbook or other manufacturing headcount systems
  • Experience writing standardized work (APS, STDS, or other manufacturing programs)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience and/or knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
  • Previous experience working directly with data analysis in a manufacturing environment and a strong data‑driven mindset
