The Director will be responsible for the Ship Management team that works directly with Program Managers, Production work force, Subcontractors, and all other support trades and departments to eliminate obstacles in the way of project success. Serve as the primary point of contact for the daily activities onboard a ship and work with the Program Manager in charge of P&L for the ship. Serve as the direct point of contact for all activity on the ship, and have responsibility to direct production labor and support resources in order to successfully navigate the entire avail. Manage direct reports and have links to production leadership to provide direction around adherence to safety, quality, cost, and schedule. Performance will be evaluated based on the success of the overall availability. Performance will be measured against predetermined safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards. This position requires expertise and experience in repair of US Navy vessels and/or commercial vessels, with a detailed knowledge base on the maintenance and modernization of these platforms. This position requires a solid background knowledge of ship repair process, a team-first mentality, and a positive attitude. The Director I will report directly to the Director II – Programs.
