About The Position

The Director of Human Resources (Talent Acquisition & Employee Relations) is responsible for leading and executing strategies that attract, hire, and retain top talent while fostering positive, compliant, and productive employee relations across the organization. This role oversees the full talent acquisition lifecycle and serves as a senior leader in employee relations, ensuring a fair, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture aligned with organizational values and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree with two or more years of directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading talent acquisition strategies and managing employee relations at a senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing organizational outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Strategy Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational goals, workforce planning needs, and future growth projections.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting processes, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding, to ensure timely and high-quality hires.
  • Partner with executive leaders and hiring managers to assess staffing needs, define roles, and develop position requirements.
  • Leverage data and analytics to evaluate recruiting effectiveness, time-to-fill, quality of hire, and retention trends.
  • Promote employer branding initiatives to position the organization as an employer of choice in the community and industry.
  • Employee Relations Serve as the primary leader for employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance issues, conflict resolution, investigations, and corrective action.
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices across the organization.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and managers on effective employee relations, performance management, and documentation practices.
  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment that supports engagement, trust, and accountability.
  • Engagement, Retention & Culture Drive initiatives that support employee engagement and retention, informed by employee feedback, surveys, and internal metrics.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to analyze trends in turnover, employee relations issues, and engagement outcomes.
  • Support a culture of inclusion, respect, and collaboration that aligns with Diversus Health values.
  • Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Partner with the VP of HR on policy review, development, and interpretation related to recruitment, employee conduct, discipline, and grievance processes.
  • Mitigate organizational risk through proactive employee relations strategies and thorough documentation.
  • Collaboration & Communication Work collaboratively with HR leaders, legal counsel, and cross-functional partners to implement HR initiatives and resolve complex issues.
  • Develop clear communication strategies related to talent acquisition processes, employment practices, and organizational expectations.
  • Change Management & Organizational Support Support organizational change initiatives by advising leaders on workforce impacts, communication strategies, and employee relations considerations.
  • Assist with restructuring, role changes, and transitions to ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance.
