The Competitive Readiness and Strategy Lead will serve as the primary owner of portfolio-level competitive strategy across Pfizer’s global obesity franchise. This role involves translating competitive intelligence into prioritized strategic insights for Pfizer’s obesity portfolio and, in collaboration with Commercial product lead(s), ensuring sustained long-term differentiation across the portfolio. The position is accountable for converting external competitive insights across markets into clear strategic recommendations for both pipeline portfolio development and on-market commercial positioning. As Pfizer’s obesity portfolio advances through late-stage development and early commercialization, this role is crucial for guiding cross-functional strategic decision-making within a rapidly evolving competitive landscape to achieve optimal patient and business outcomes. The role emphasizes disciplined interpretation of information to connect insights into clear implications for category strategy, portfolio choices, and asset-level implications. Operating as a highly embedded member of the Obesity Global Commercial Development team, this position requires an experienced leader who works with a high degree of independence and generates timely second and third-order insights for the business. The role involves close partnership with Competitive Intelligence (CI) to integrate intelligence gathering into business implications, requiring a “competitive business owner” mindset capable of conversing across R&D, clinical development, BD, and commercial strategy, and moving fluidly between asset-level depth and portfolio-level perspective.
