The Director of Business Systems and Solutions is responsible for overseeing business applications and leading the non-SAP functional organization. The primary objectives include delivering end-to-end solutions for all non-SAP-related goals and managing responsibilities across GIS organizational towers to meet business requirements and operational commitments. This role includes leadership of strategic initiatives within the non-SAP area to improve functional design, working with Enterprise Architecture, business unit leaders, and DT workstream leads on roadmaps, solution evaluation and review, service introduction, and lifecycle management of custom application platforms. Additional responsibilities involve rationalizing and consolidating custom-built and mobile application platforms, as well as developing plans to standardize processes and improve efficiency. The position also involves identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and integrate AI into non-SAP applications to accelerate delivery and lower costs. The scope covers functional leadership for non-SAP strategic platforms across CSBG, GOPS, GWS, Legal, and other business unit domains. This position manages a team of approximately 7-8 Senior BSA / Functional Architects as direct reports, along with an RFT team of around 15. The role includes contractual and managerial authority over partner contracts totaling $800K - $1.5M in overall spend. Acquisition & Deployment Lead globally distributed technology teams through programs and projects that create, enhance, or maintain applications platforms. Engage with product and business leaders to understand business needs and translate these needs into executable solutions, while managing expectations, gathering requirements, and managing the RFP process for large-scale programs. Research, evaluate, and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts. Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings. Drive application portfolio rationalization efforts for best-fit solutions at optimum cost footprints. Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations
