About The Position
Spartronics- Director, Global Business Development – (EMS) Vietnam Manufacturing Drive Global Growth for High-Reliability Electronics Manufacturing Must reside in the United States. Spartronics is seeking a seasoned EMS business development leader to drive new international manufacturing programs for our Vietnam operations. This role is designed for a true hunter — someone who understands the value of low-cost country manufacturing and has the relationships, credibility, and technical knowledge to win complex programs from leading OEMs. You will focus on winning new business and expanding Spartronics’ Vietnam manufacturing footprint, helping OEM customers transition or launch products in a world-class, cost-competitive environment. Why This Role Matters As Director of International Business Development, you will play a key role in expanding Spartronics’ global manufacturing footprint by securing new OEM customers and placing high-value programs into our Vietnam facility. This position is focused entirely on new customer acquisition and strategic program wins. You will leverage your network, market knowledge, and EMS expertise to help OEMs evaluate and adopt low-cost country manufacturing strategies while positioning Spartronics as their trusted long-term partner.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of EMS business development or strategic sales experience
- Proven track record of winning new OEM accounts and landing large manufacturing programs
- Experience closing $10M+ deals or major program awards
- Demonstrated success placing products into low-cost country manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of PCBA, electromechanical assembly, and full system integration
- Deep knowledge of the EMS industry and OEM procurement processes
- Experience selling into medical device, aerospace, life sciences, or industrial OEMs
- Ability to navigate complex technical and commercial discussions with executive stakeholders
- Strong pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and deal-closing discipline
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain or equivalent EMS industry experience
- Must reside in the United States.
- Must reside near a major airport and have a valid US Passport.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to identify and win new OEM customers seeking global EMS manufacturing solutions
- Drive new business growth for Spartronics’ Vietnam manufacturing operations.
- Identify, qualify, and close complex EMS opportunities across medical devices, aerospace, defense, life sciences, and industrial markets.
- Generate and manage $10M+ program opportunities with significant lifetime revenue potential.
- Guide OEM customers through the low-cost country qualification and transition process.
- Build executive-level relationships with engineering, supply chain, and procurement leaders.
- Represent Spartronics at industry events, trade shows, and executive meetings.
- Collaborate internally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to develop tailored manufacturing solutions for each opportunity.
Benefits
- Base salary: $150,000 – $165,000 annual salary
- MBO's the 1st year (up to $10,000 quarterly)
