About The Position

This is a 12-month position which will involve day, some evening, and some weekend work.  The Director for Continuing Education Health Sciences is responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of courses for all Health-related programs within the Division of Continuing Education.  Duties include, but are not limited to:  providing leadership in the identification and implementation of new course offerings; participating in the regular evaluation of all programs to ensure educational quality and a positive student experience; ensuring appropriate resources, supplies, and equipment are available to maintain continuity of instruction; recruiting, supervising, and evaluating allied health-related program employees; and scheduling, monitoring, and supervising clinical rotations for both students and faculty.  Perform other duties as assigned. Standard Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Salary: Final salary determination based upon education and experience. Starting Date: January 2, 2026. Closing Date: November 30, 2025, or open until filled.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in nursing, required.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina, and five (5) years' clinical experience, required.
  • Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required.
  • Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes.
  • The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior employment in a long-term care facility, preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Prior experience teaching and/or supervising adult education training programs, preferred.
