The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) serves as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical functions that support the organization's financial health. This role partners with executive leadership to drive data-informed decision making, optimize financial performance, and ensure alignment with long-term business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • At least 10-years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with executive leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • At least 5-years in a leadership or director level role

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead the FP&A function, develop robust financial models, forecasts, and strategic plans to guide company growth and profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company strategy.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with executives, department leaders, and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations for key initiatives.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Performance Management: Monitor financial and operational performance metrics, implement dashboards, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Team Leadership: Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices, automation, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A operations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and investors.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks.
