Overview Oversees all departmental health administration needs and requirements as directed by upper management. Manages a medical recordkeeping system including detailed patient health records, ensuring complete confidentiality and records security of patient health data as well as doctor notes and recommendations. Responsibilities Directs Directors , Senior Managers , and occasionally senior individual contributors in a matrix environment , and is accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching feedback . Leads area processes for the ER Services unit , and ensures methods align with the overall business strategy . Participates in the planning and implementation of new technologies , procedures , and services to support day-to-day operations . Applies key financial principles and organizational financial targets to departmental projects / budgets . Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide nursing care needed as described in the unit / department’s policies and procedures . Manages team performance through regular , timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement , motivation , and team development . Manages operational aspects of their teams ( e.g ., budget , performance , and compliance ), as well as implementing workforce and succession plans to meet business needs . Creates a purpose driven environment by aligning the organization's mission , vision , and core values of improving health and promoting well-being with the strategies and goals of the ER Services team .
