The Director, Enabling Functions Finance position is tasked with providing financial, accounting and key decision support across Corporate Staff and the Enabling Functions business units at BMS. This position will also lead various aspects of the Reporting and Consolidations function providing detailed information across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of diversified experience in an accounting or finance function is required.
  • Financial and analytical skills, as well as excellent business partnering skills is required.
  • Demonstration of interacting with executives and management is required.
  • Experience with all aspects of financial reporting cycle including development of annual business plan, financial projections and operations expense management.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills are vital and ability to interact and influence with different partners (local or remote).
  • Strong accounting knowledge, understanding of US GAAP, and the financial control environment.
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration working in a matrix environment with multiple levels of management and with competing demands on time and resources.

  • CPA and/or MBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Staff FP&A Support Provide financial support, including build and consolidation of annual business plan (budget), quarterly projections and expenses across the Enabling Functions.
  • Act as key business partner for the Enabling Functions business units, directly partnering and supporting with the EF leadership teams, including People Org, Law and Policy, GBO, and Corp Affairs.
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly closing process providing leadership, and other key stakeholders with timelines, deliverables and confirmation of results.
  • Responsible for reporting requirements to Corporate Staff HQ, Corporate Financial Analysis, Corporate Financial Reporting, Tax, BCF & Treasury.
  • Supports Executive Director with the quarterly, monthly and ad hoc financial presentations to Senior Leadership.
  • Manages the reporting of expenses and mapping across the P&L for company integrations.
  • Directly manages expenses and projections of specific functions within Enabling Functions with Business Partners and leadership across the company.
  • Leads meetings across Finance and provides feedback to the team as necessary.
  • Build Ad Hoc reporting for multiple Business Partners across the organization.
  • Financial Stewardship Provides financial stewardship to clients on all financial and/or accounting matters, partnering with Technical Accounting, Business Controls, etc.
  • Maintains internal control environment to the highest standards of compliance and integrity.
  • Serve as contact person for external and internal auditors, as needed.
  • Drives Process Improvements Helps drive further standardization and optimization of common processes across the team.
  • Systems expert that drives improvements and process changes.
  • Leads training of systems and support for the Corporate Staff Finance team and other Business Units.
