About The Position

The EHS Director is a strategic leader responsible for both risk intervention/mitigation and the management of EHS systems and data across CRB. This role oversees programs such as Trade Partner Pre-Qualifications, commercial risk reduction, central EHS audit functions, and company-wide EHS management systems. The Director drives continuous improvement, robust risk management, and operational excellence by integrating lessons-learned mechanisms, formal feedback loops, and advanced data analytics. This position directly enhances safety, compliance, and performance at all organizational levels, collaborating with cross-functional teams and supervising technical EHS specialists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental from an accredited college/ university or other relevant bachelor’s degree required.
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of fifteen years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead EHS Hazard/ Risk Life Cycle Intervention & Mitigation, including Trade Partner Pre-Qualifications and Commercial Phase Risk Reduction
  • Operate a centralized EHS audit function to objectively assess and report EHS performance at CRB projects and office locations
  • Oversee planning and coordination with other central support groups for conducting EHS project risk assessments for active projects, as well as risk assessment and mitigation during proposal and planning phases
  • Collaborate with CRB teams on Trade Partner Pre-Qualification to ensure criteria are utilized, measured, evaluated, and reported to Regional Management and the EHS VP
  • Develop and maintain a formal feedback process from audits and assessments to drive EHS improvements in constructability plans and Design for Safety with Design and Engineering Teams
  • Supervise CRB Technical EHS Specialists in field deployments, EHS audits, and Trade Partner pre-qualification oversight, supporting CRB’s EHS Systems and Data Management efforts.
  • Oversee maintenance and operate a central EHS Management System for continuous performance improvement, incorporating lessons-learned mechanisms and formal feedback loops
  • Oversee the company EHS data management platform, statistical reports and reporting systems, technical processes, programs, procedural development, company policies, standards, and communications for EHS
  • Coordinate measurement systems with project teams and for the collection and analysis of project EHS KPIs
  • Develop EHS business-related processes and incorporate them into process documentation and commercial contracts
  • Oversee CRB input to Client Qualification Third Party Platforms
  • Support the successful application of CRB Workers Compensation programs via the Captive insurance program
  • Support the development of technical and compliance-based training programs for EHS in conjunction with CRB's Learning and Development Team
  • Oversee training content development in coordination with learning and development team.
