About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven eCommerce Director to manage and lead our sales efforts within the digital marketplace. A director of ecommerce orchestrates all aspects of the ecommerce strategy for a brand. This role combines sales, marketing, technology, and management expertise to develop a plan that delivers a superior brand and shopping experience for customers. Importantly, as the eCommerce Sales Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth through online channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the eCommerce space.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth through digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, analytics tools, and online customer behavior.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Shopify, or other eCommerce platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve eCommerce revenue targets.
  • Own and manage internet marketing solutions, social media integration, search engine optimization (SEO), and other monitoring methodologies and analytics.
  • Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitor activity to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with product team to align on promotional campaigns, product launches, and pricing strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Shape and direct the team of ecommerce professionals that fulfills the creative, conversion, analytical and technical, needs of the business.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing eCommerce sales team develop to execute successful ecommerce revenue generation campaigns to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and monitor individual performance to ensure accountability and productivity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales metrics, conversion rates, and customer behavior using eCommerce platforms and reporting tools.
  • Monitoring and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, average order value, and customer lifetime value to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present regular sales performance reports to senior management, identifying key areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with other departments, including product and IT to enhance the sales process and improve customer engagement.
  • Drive collaboration with customer experience and product teams to understand customer feedback and prioritize product features or enhancements.
  • Technology & Tools: Oversee optimization of sales, CRM and eCommerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with the development team to optimize the website user experience (UX) on the ecommerce platform, including navigation, checkout process, and product page design.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and eCommerce trends, integrating innovations to enhance sales performance.
