About The Position

The Director, Digital Marketing for the Transactional Sales Division will serve as the strategic leader driving the division’s digital presence and performance across YouTube and social platforms. This role is accountable for shaping long‑term digital strategy, optimizing monetization models, and ensuring alignment with the studio’s broader commercial priorities. Acting as a key liaison across divisions, including Theatrical, DC, Consumer Products, and Franchise teams—the director will leverage data, partnerships, and platform innovation to accelerate transactional sales, strengthen consumer engagement, and position the studio as a leader in digital entertainment.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in digital, trade and/or brand marketing, with a focus on entertainment.
  • Proven track record in YouTube channel management and monetization.
  • Expertise in organic social media strategy, content development, and monetization models.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor contracts.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Passion for entertainment, WB library, emerging digital trends and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • YouTube Channel Management & Monetization Oversee all home entertainment YouTube channels, including programming, optimization, and content calendars.
  • Drive monetization strategies through ad revenue, partnerships, and innovative formats tied to transactional IP initiatives.
  • Analyze performance metrics (watch time, subscriber growth, CPMs) and implement data‑driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to develop platform‑native content that supports home entertainment campaigns.
  • Social Media (Paid & Organic) Strategy & Monetization Lead organic social campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, and emerging platforms.
  • Identify and implement new monetization opportunities via social platforms, including partnerships and commerce integrations
  • Oversee the execution of paid social campaigns, ensuring alignment with home entertainment priorities and maximizing ROI.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and storytelling that highlights catalog titles, new releases, and franchise anniversaries.
  • Monitor trends and emerging platforms to keep the division at the forefront of digital engagement.
  • Commercial Integration & Vendor Management Align digital campaigns with retail and merchandising strategies to accelerate sales.
  • Manage contract negotiations with vendors and external partners to maximize value and efficiency.
  • Partner with sales, publicity, and creative teams to ensure digital activations support revenue goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with platform partners (YouTube, Meta, TikTok) to unlock value and innovation.
  • Cross‑Divisional Collaboration Serve as a key liaison and collaborator with internal partners including Theatrical, DC, Consumer Products, and Franchise teams.
  • Ensure digital strategies are integrated across divisions to amplify studio priorities and maximize reach.
  • Leadership & Team Development Build and lead a high‑performing digital team within the Home Entertainment Division.
  • Mentor staff and foster a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability.
  • Establish best practices and workflows for efficient campaign execution.
