About The Position

The Director candidate is passionate about digital advertising, and has a desire to architect the future of how Zenith approaches and buys digital media in an ever-changing landscape. He/She will oversee the development and execution of digital campaigns across Display, Social, Mobile, Native, and Video channels within Zenith's internal digital media team. The activation may be direct or programmatic in nature. He/She must enjoy working with some of the finest minds in the industry, be a teacher and a student of technology, and aspire to contribute to a unique team of industry thought leaders. As the day-to-day point of contact for senior-level Strategy and Activation colleagues within Zenith, he/she helps with ongoing digital and programmatic education for clients, elevates the level of digital media conversations within the agency and during client meetings when digital media is being discussed, and identifies new revenue growth opportunities. This individual will possess the technical experience to apply innovation to high-profile programmatic campaign plans across channels, and provides constructive critiques to junior teammates about campaign design, data applications, analytics, and media measurement in order to exceed client objectives. The Director candidate has a strong intuition and an excellent client services acumen, which will be leveraged to secure bright, new talent for the team. Additionally, the Director shall want to contribute to the positive career development of 3-4 direct reports, develop and execute individual and team goals, and foster an inspired work environment. The Director will report directly to the SVP with heavy interaction with the Strategy Director on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • 8+ years of digital media buying/planning managing Display, Video, Social, Commerce, and Search including Programmatic Media Buying (some hands-on buying experience mandatory)
  • Full working knowledge of programmatic technology, including vast knowledge of the general programmatic space (DSP marketplace, programmatic planning tools, best practices, Ad Networks, Exchanges, PMPs)
  • Experience planning digital campaigns against awareness and acquisition initiatives
  • 4+ years of people management experience, managing 3-5 reports in an account management/client services team
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow though skills
  • Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
  • Must be hard-working, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
  • Must possess/develop a strong understanding of the entertainment industry across linear and DTC Streaming offerings
  • Experience with Prisma and DCM preferred
  • Experience with Research tools such as Nielsen, Comscore preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports as team lead on client's business and oversees all aspects of the assigned LOB(s)
  • Executes high level strategy and holistic management of the media plan development, implementation, and execution
  • Identifies key target insights based on client brief necessary for formulating strategic recommendations
  • Responsible for managing projects and resources and client communications
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the client business
  • Understands digital media partners offerings, and showcases marketplace expertise
  • Manages flawless fundamentals within team, working knowledge of social, precision, commerce, and search platform capabilities
  • Bring executional knowledge of the Private Marketplace (PMP) landscape (strategy, negotiation and proper technical execution) to the team and organization
  • Plays a leading role in all aspects of campaign management including vendor liaison and reporting
  • Assist in presentation of data, insights and media to clients
  • Intimate knowledge of consumer habits & touchpoints, i.e. digital, commerce, social, video
  • Craft knowledgeable and relevant POVs that assess media opportunities and place appropriate value
  • Maintain accountability for QA procedures across upcoming, live and ending campaigns
  • Assist in project management of custom partner executions
  • Be a team player, bringing positivity and passion to every situation
