About The Position

The Director of Decarbonization leads strategic and technical initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across cruise operations. The role will support the refinement and execution of the company's decarbonization roadmap, ensuring cross-brand alignment with sustainability and financial objectives. Operating in a dynamic organization and evolving regulatory landscape, the Director of Decarbonization collaborates with fuel planners, technical experts, and policy/regulatory leads to synthesize insights and influence capital and human resource allocation towards decarbonization objectives. The role will chair the cross-brand Decarbonization Working Group, support the development and execution of energy efficiency programs, and work on adoption of alternative fuels. Success in this high-visibility role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical capacity, strategic vision, and cross-functional leadership.

Requirements

  • Degree in naval architecture, engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years’ experience in marine, technical, engineering, or similar.
  • General understanding of cruise operations.
  • Strong analytical capacity with an ability to translate insights into business decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of maritime decarbonization pathways, including alternative fuels (e.g., LNG, methanol, hydrogen, etc.), energy efficiency technologies, and emissions regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous and evolving environments.
  • Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
