About the role As the Director of Customer Marketing , you will be a member of the marketing senior leadership team reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer . You will lead a high-impact team responsible for the entire post-purchase customer journey—from initial engagement to long-term advocacy. This role is for a hands-on leader who can integrate lifecycle marketing, revenue expansion, and community building into a seamless experience. You will oversee specialized functions in lifecycle engagement, retention strategy, and event-based community building to drive growth across our customer base. Why this job is exciting Departmental Leadership: Architect and lead the Customer Marketing department, managing a team of specialists across Engagement/Lifecycle, Revenue Retention & Expansion, and Community & Events. Engagement & Lifecycle Strategy: Own the end-to-end messaging strategy, including audience segmentation and personalized journeys to drive adoption and usage. Drive Revenue Expansion: Design and scale marketing motions that support revenue retention and seat expansion, working closely with sales and customer success to maximize customer lifetime value. Community & Advocacy: Oversee Syndio’s customer community and events strategy, turning users into champions and vocal advocates through high-impact programming and peer-to-peer networking. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a core partner to the Product, Demand Gen, and Ops & Analytics teams to ensure a unified customer experience. Data-Driven Optimization: Partner with the Marketing Analytics team to build performance dashboards, using experimentation and insights to demonstrate marketing’s contribution to retention and expansion. About you Enterprise experience: Knowledge of how to engage with F2500 CXOs via multiple channels to drive engagement and expansion. Leadership Experience: 10+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in a B2B SaaS environment. Lifecycle Expertise: Deep expertise in multi-channel orchestration (email, in-app, notifications) and customer lifecycle management. Revenue Focus: Demonstrated ability to drive measurable business outcomes, specifically in revenue retention and account expansion. Strategic Collaboration: Experience functioning in complex, matrixed environments, with the ability to influence stakeholders at the executive level. Mission Alignment: A passion for workplace equity and the ability to communicate Syndio's values to a diverse audience of global brands.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in a B2B SaaS environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation. For this role our salary is targeted at $166,000 -$195,000 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise. We take a geo neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.
