About The Position

As the lead for cross-regional research initiatives in global power and renewables research team, your work will directly shape investment strategies and reinforce S&P Global Commodity Insights' position as a leader in power market insights and data-driven solutions. The role encompasses research production, team collaboration, and commercial support. Research topics include policy analysis, regulatory frameworks, market reforms, emerging trends, supply/demand/price forecasts and analytics globally or across multiple regions. The position will also involve collaboration with internal teams such as other research groups and commercial and supporting functions to enhance S&P Global’s brand recognition and maximize commercial value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Energy, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy research, with a focus on power and renewables.
  • Proven thought leadership in energy and power market and policy analysis.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-regional research projects and teams with or without a direct supervisory role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of producing impactful research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to enable communication and collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing global environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or PH.D. degrees are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Regional Insights: Spearhead and coordinate research initiatives across multiple regions to develop high-impact research reports that inform investment decisions.
  • Thought Leadership: Act as a spokesperson and thought leader, representing S&P Global Commodity Insights at industry conferences, media engagements, and client meetings.
