Director, Construction
About The Position
The Director of Construction is accountable for the development and execution of the Medical Centers strategies in the areas of construction/renovation project planning, commissioning and transitional planning. The leader will act as resource to ensure construction/renovation projects are planned and delivered effectively and efficiently. The Director of Facility Planning will demonstrate a commitment to Cook Childrens Healthcare Systems operating values and integrate them into each job function by always employing effective processes and education of staff. The leader of this area should: Live quality while improving efficiency Challenge the status quo by allowing innovation to be integrated into daily work. Think creatively, plan analytically and then act decisively. Communicate in an open, respectful, timely and effective manner. Work collaboratively with all parties to ensure favorable processes and outcomes. Demonstrate adherence to the corporate compliance program. This position has a strong understanding of TDSHS, City of Ft. Worth codes, ADA and construction standards.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration/Construction Management or related.
- 5 years experience managing construction projects in a healthcare setting.
- 5 years experience in a leadership position, preferably in a children's hospital or pediatric setting.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) - Recommended.
- Construction Management Certification from ASHE - Recommended.
