About The Position

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director Care Delivery Quality Programs. The Quality Programs Director is responsible for overseeing and leading quality management initiatives across the enterprise, including acute care settings and/or health plans. This role ensures the implementation and continuous improvement of high-quality care practices, compliance with regulatory standards, and the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) that enhance patient and/or member outcomes and satisfaction. The Quality Programs Director works closely with senior leadership, clinical teams, and operational leaders to establish and enforce quality assurance processes, improve patient/member safety, and drive the enterprise’s strategic goals related to quality care delivery. The Quality Programs Director plays a critical role in fostering a culture of quality care, ensuring safe and efficient healthcare services across the consumers across the enterprise. This leadership role has end-to-end accountability for the strategy and performance of the quality programs and initiatives supporting health plans and/or acute care delivery, including but not limited to STARs, HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS and PWP. This position has responsibility for the development of strategic roadmaps and performance improvement plans for relevant quality programs. Has oversight for data integrity and quality of vendor performance and SLAs. Additionally, the Quality Director leads the development of clinical outreach and engagement programs, and partners with other areas of the business to improve clinical outcomes related to STARs and/or HEDIS performance. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all State, CMS, and other regulatory agencies, providing required reporting to internal Quality Committees and partnering with Directors of Quality Improvement, Regulatory and Accreditation and other key stakeholders across the organization to comply with all pertinent regulatory and accreditation agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years quality programs experience
  • 5 years leadership experience

Responsibilities
