About The Position

As the Director of Financial Systems and Project management, you are responsible for directing the development, implementation, and administration of the organization's financial systems. Leading and overseeing the design and creation of financial models for accounting operations, while implementing department initiatives and financial systems strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • ASC 606 experience required
  • Manufacturing and/or Distribution experience required
  • 10+ years of finance experience required
  • 5+ years public company/Sox or equivalent experience required
  • System implementation experience required
  • Blackline experience required
  • Oracle (or equivalent) experience is required

Nice To Haves

  • Private Equity Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as key contact and Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) for the enterprise with respect to financial systems
  • Act as project manager for financial system changes, integrations, updates, and implementations
  • Assist with audit support and directly interface with external and internal audit teams as needed
  • Assist in the vendor selection process for financial systems and other enterprise changes
  • Be curious and continually seek to improve process, reporting results and control environment
  • Communicate project milestones, risks, project plans and test results to executive sponsors and other governance
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills and effectively prioritizes competing responsibilities with minimal oversight
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and peers
  • Own M & A integrations for financial systems
  • Own financial system integrations and new implementations
  • Own financial system administration and training program
  • Own the financial system change management process
  • Own the annual tax schedule and update for changes in the regulatory and reporting environment
  • Own SOPs for areas of responsibility
  • Partner with accounting and finance to streamline business processes and improve operating capability and reporting opportunities
  • Partner with IT, Procurement and Operations to align priorities and achieve expected results
  • Participate on special projects as assigned
