The Director of IT Business Systems is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for aligning core business processes with scalable, efficient systems across Emburse. This leader will own the execution of continuous improvement and key transformation initiatives across core business processes, enabling high-performance operations, supporting business agility, and driving enterprise-wide alignment. You'll lead a cross-functional team and collaborate closely with executives, department heads, and technology partners to ensure systems such as Salesforce CRM, Marketo, client support platforms, and others, are optimized to support mission-critical business processes including but not limited to Lead to Cash, Record to Report, and Issue to Resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience:10+ years of experience in business systems leadership, process transformation, or enterprise applications.
  • Proven success leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives in fast-paced, scaling organizations.
  • Deep understanding of Lead to Cash business process frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, sales forecasting, and service management platforms.
  • Experience managing and scaling cross-functional teams and vendor/partner relationships.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency, outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or tech-enabled services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, and data privacy/security requirements.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • Practical experience implementing or optimizing lead to contract processes and scalable systems.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities while driving measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Business Process Ownership: Partner with stakeholders to assess, reimagine, and continually improve the Lead-to-Cash process and respective sub-processes.
  • Organizational Change Leadership: Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by leading change management and adoption efforts across teams.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of professionals specializing in business systems and process transformation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a strategic partner to Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, IT and other functions to ensure systems and processes meet evolving business needs.
  • Governance & Best Practices: Uphold business systems governance frameworks and promote standardization, automation, and best practices across departments.
