Role Purpose: The Brand Voice Director is responsible for the holistic voice and tone of the maurices brand, and is essential to brand communications, brand perception and brand evolution. Reporting to the Senior Director of Creative and Content, the Brand Voice Director independently writes copy, edits and manages the work of others, as well as develops campaign concepts and positioning statements. They keep an omnichannel brand lens as well customer insights top of mind to inspire our customers in their day to day. Additionally, they partner with other members of the team in developing brand seasonal campaigns and compelling marketing concepts. Essential Duties and Functions he Brand Voice Director owns the maurices brand voice across all channels through the following responsibilities: CAPACITY TO LEAD - Your experience and knowledge is valuable, and you pass it on, overseeing the copywriting team, as well as guiding content creators and business units simultaneously. COMMUNICATOR & COLLABORATOR - You partner well, collaborating with others, building trust, and communicating with leadership, as well as your team. CREATIVE EVAULATION - You honestly evaluate creative talent and promote good work, you give feedback when necessary as a constant brand champion & meticulous editor. CONCEPTING - You can create and inspire your team to develop original ideas that are on strategy and brief. BUSINESS - You are familiar with your team’s business goals, and you manage and guard that daily. PEOPLE/TALENT - You resolve internal conflicts, keep the team motivated, identify problems and create solutions. TIME MANAGEMENT - You manage your time well, can quickly switch from one subject to the next and successfully delegate work to your team. MASTER OF TRADE - You have created and managed the development of all points of contact for integrated content, including email, organic social, paid media, video, mobile, direct mail, store windows, PR, experientials and supporting marketing initiatives.
