About The Position

Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis. We’re seeking a strategic HR leader to join our team as Director of Benefits & Employee Relations—a role that blends innovation, compliance, and compassion to create an exceptional employee experience. The role provides strategic and operational direction and leadership to the organization in human resources planning, policies, employee engagement and retention and systems development. Serves as a consultant and coach to organization leaders and employees. Represents and/or acts on behalf of the Vice President of Human Resources as appropriate. Innovate Benefits Programs: Manage health, retirement, and wellness benefits, ensuring competitive offerings and regulatory compliance. Leverage HR Technology: Partner on SAP, SuccessFactors, and ADP projects to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate candidate with possses an accredited Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR leadership experience; OR equivalent experience (10+ years in employee/labor relations and benefits).
  • Expertise in employment law, labor relations, and benefits administration.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Knowledgable in labor relations principles and practices of human resources management and supervision in a union environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in union environment, preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
