About The Position

The Director of Annual & Individual Giving is a strategic and results-driven fundraising leader responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive annual giving program that fuels organizational growth and impact. This role blends traditional donor engagement with cutting-edge digital fundraising strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors across all giving levels. Closely working in partnership with senior leadership, board members, development colleagues, and marketing teams, the Director will lead efforts to grow sustainable annual support, deepen donor relationships, and drive forward the goals of the Strategic Plan and BGCMA’s mission. This position is ideal for a self-starter with strong relationship-building skills, digital fluency, and a passion for impacting the community.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in annual giving, direct response fundraising, and digital engagement.
  • Proven track record of raising $400K+ annually through multi-channel strategies.
  • Experience with donor platforms, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Strong grasp of donor engagement cycle and annual giving Best Practices
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and digital fundraising platforms.
  • Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office products.
  • Comfortable working with board members, lead volunteers, and diverse constituencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a multi-faceted annual fundraising strategy aligned with short- and long-term organizational goals.
  • Lead 5 major omni-channel campaigns using email and direct mail. Phone outreach, peer-to-peer fundraising, and Giving Tuesday initiatives.
  • Work with Direct Mail vendor to design a comprehensive direct mail program and digital giving strategies; Analyze Direct Mail/e-mail solicitation program results data to refine and increase ROI
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify funding priorities and match them with the donor interests.
  • Oversee digital fundraising initiatives, including donation forms, landing pages, e-commerce tools, and event platforms.
  • Work closely with marketing staff to develop and manage consistent communications with donors and prospects that align with individual giving strategies and brand alignment.
  • Establish benchmarks and regular reporting processes to measure the results of all individual giving activities
  • Analyze donor data to inform segmentation, personalization, and campaign optimization through the proficient use of Salesforce.
  • Generate analytical reports to inform strategy and measure campaign performance.
  • Mobilize board members, volunteers, and staff to expand the donor base and elevate giving levels.
  • Represent the Annual Giving arm of the Resource Development team in board and community presentations.
