About The Position

The Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group is looking for an entrepreneurial data executive to play a key role in the analysis of film marketing. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in data science and econometrics with applied experience in media mix modeling (MMM) and ad effectiveness measurement in a dynamic environment. This person will apply statistical modeling and machine learning to Warner Bros. content offerings developed by the Motion Picture Group throughout their lifecycle. This is an opportunity to drive the success of notable films with the storied Warner Bros. studio at a pivotal moment in the entertainment industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data science or marketing analytics
  • 6+ years of experience with conducting data analysis in Python or R
  • 6+ years utilizing databases and SQL
  • 3+ years experience with media measurement, modeling, and optimization in an agency, consulting firm, or client-side role focused on marketing data science and / or media mix modeling.
  • Masters Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar quantitative field
  • Hands on experience with techniques for modeling advertising effectiveness with media mix models (MMM), multi-touch-attribution (MTA), and/or marketing experimentation
  • Nuanced understanding of how to utilize advanced statistical techniques to provide key insights that overcome structural challenges in data availability
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools such as ad platforms (Google, Facebook), identity resolution tools (LiveRamp, Neustar), web analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Expertise in machine learning and predictive modeling approaches such as Random Forest, GBM, xgBoost, neural networks/deep learning, etc.
  • Exposure to advanced applications of genAI including Retrieval Augmented Generation and Agentic Approaches
  • Skilled researcher, able to distill large bodies of data to key findings and explain them to varied audiences
  • Experience evaluating campaigns and developing detailed testing roadmaps
  • Must be able to communicate complex findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels

Nice To Haves

  • Quantitatively oriented Ph.D preferred
  • Knowledge of survey design and analysis
  • Strong history of identifying opportunities for developing predictive models to meet business needs
  • Love of TV, Movies, Games, and Comics is a Plus!

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and interpretation of media mix models (MMM) and marketing experimentation to quantify advertising effectiveness and guide investment decisions.
  • Partner with marketing, distribution, research, and executive leadership to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights that influence campaign strategy, creative direction, and audience targeting.
  • Develop robust testing roadmaps and oversee the evaluation of marketing campaigns, ensuring learnings are systematically captured and applied to future initiatives.
  • Direct the integration and utilization of diverse data sources to enhance measurement accuracy and modeling sophistication.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate with emerging technologies, including generative AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows, to improve forecasting, automation, and insight generation.
  • Guide the creation of dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical deliverables that enable stakeholders to monitor performance, understand drivers of success, and make data‑informed decisions.
  • Mentor and develop a high‑performing analytics team, fostering a culture of curiosity, technical excellence, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the organization, staying current on industry trends in marketing science, measurement, and entertainment analytics.
