About The Position

Directs, develops and designs policies, services, and programs. Leads the implementation of redesign programs, and provides operational expertise. Oversees clinical and other educational programs.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area required.
  • Current License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State,
  • and Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • OR Master of Science required.
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Department of Education, required. Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required.
  • OR Master's Degree in clinical nursing practice. Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. CNS certification in applicable specialty practice areas: Adult Health, Oncology, Pediatrics and Psychiatry/Mental Health by a national certification organization (ANCC, AACN or ONCC), required.
  • and 8-12 years of technical experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and directs operational and administrative activities in support of clinical programs and education.
  • Oversees project operations involving growth of advanced clinical providers; assists in defining measurable clinical practice metrics; plans objectives within programs developing clinical relationships including interactions with Corporate, partners, nursing and physicians.
  • Collaborates with facility administrators, clinical leaders and organization clinicians to design and implement clinical performance improvement projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.
  • Partners and collaborates with medical and management teams to serve as liaison between and among physicians, management, nursing, and other clinical staff.
  • Develops an effective intra-disciplinary communications process within the department and across the organization for evidence based collaborative projects.
  • Collaborates with clinical and administrative stakeholders to develop project details including definitions, metrics, specific and global aims including workable plans for implementation.
  • Develops, reviews, coordinates and integrates policies and procedures for clinical operations, clinical compliance and data analysis, and reporting.
  • Identifies and recommends potential new development projects and assesses the feasibility of pursuit.
  • Liaises with clinical and administrative leadership and sites, individuals and groups within the organization for purposes of information communication, technology transfer, and collaborative work.
