About The Position

This position will be a key member of the Ad Sales Finance team, supporting all aspects of the AMC Networks pricing & sales forecasting, revenue analysis, and financial closes. The positions will offer great exposure to learn all aspects of Ad Sales within AMC Networks, which includes AMC, WE, Sundance, BBC, IFC and Digital properties including AVOD/FAST. This position will be required to work closely with finance, pricing & inventory, research, and accounting.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) in Business, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics.
  • 7-10 years finance experience.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel/PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of media.
  • Proven team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to alternate from detailed work to client/support team interaction seamlessly.
  • Demonstrates ability to be detail and process-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in challenging situations.
  • Ability to perform in-depth, detailed analyses and summarize key takeaways.

Responsibilities

  • Create, own, and maintain Ad Sales Digital Revenue model for AMCN OLV, VOD, DAI, and AVOD/FAST partnerships.
  • Manage short/long term forecasting and management reporting for Advertising Revenue
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly close accrual for Digital revenue.
  • Coordinate and manage monthly revenue share process for the AVOD/FAST platforms.
  • Track and forecast spending by the Commercial Revenue group throughout all key financial cycles (Forecast, Budget, Monthly Closes and Estimates). Identify risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate and review quarterly close entry of Ad Sales Makegood Liability.
  • Support in preparation of Board of Director's Budget presentations and quarterly reporting
  • Provide finance support to the Franchise/Licensing/Merchandising/Gaming team and integrate reporting into overall Commercial Revenue results. (Forecast, Budget, Monthly Closes and Estimates).
  • Track and analyze trends of key Ad Sales metrics, including audience delivery and pricing, and analyze drivers of key variances. Work closely with P&I and Research teams
  • Provide ongoing support to VP- Distribution and Advertising Finance in fundamental reporting and analysis, and ad hoc tasks.
