Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business related field is required.
  • Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in administrative, technical or clinical operations.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with many stakeholders and strong governance.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing large teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with ability for building and maintaining team morale.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, and fixed assets
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, non-po invoices and schedules
  • Maintain and manage the monthly close calendar
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
  • Responds timely and efficiently to internal and external communications both verbally and written through memos or e-mail
  • Develop and document accounting policies and procedures
  • Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements and automation
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff
  • Promote a collaborative and accountable team culture
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support training
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
