You will focus on: Provide overall leadership and direction for the accounting function, including general ledger, monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and budget variance analysis across all AHS entities Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness Establish and maintain a scalable chart of accounts structure and ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial statements Serve as the final authority on accounting treatment, transaction classification, and booking decisions Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies Partner with the AVP, Finance on annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processesy Design, implement, and oversee strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and mitigate risk, including fraud prevention Support audits and external reviews, acting as a primary point of contact as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other business leaders to support organizational goals Drive process improvements and efficiencies to support growth and evolving business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
  • 10+ years professional experience working in Accounting role requiring use and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Demonstrated growth and success in comparable role
  • Management experience strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or advanced degree preferred but not required
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, ideally within an IPA or Medical Group environment

Responsibilities
