About The Position

The Academic Year internship program offers interns the chance to work on real projects, contribute to meaningful work, and build skills in a collaborative environment over two full semesters. Interns receive support for growth, professional development, and a paid internship with additional benefits. This specific role is within the TVE DevOps team, which supports the infrastructure and operational needs of the TVE Engineering team under the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business unit. The intern will collaborate with development and operations partners to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient systems for TVE platforms.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027)
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027
  • Must be working from a location within a U.S. state during all hours worked
  • Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD methodologies, and automation tools/technologies
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools and services (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, SNS)
  • Proficiency in programming and automation using languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and platforms (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
  • Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based architectures
  • Experience with monitoring and visualization tools such as Grafana
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Building, testing, and maintaining infrastructure and technology stacks
  • Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring system health and automating maintenance tasks
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality while reducing time and costs
