About The Position

Are you passionate about mental health and looking for a meaningful career where you can make a real impact? Legacy Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Turner team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting individuals and families throughout South Georgia with compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services. Under supervision Direct Support Professionals will provide training and support services to people with developmental disabilities in a 24/7 community residential program. Responsibilities include delivering skills training in daily living and community integration as outlined by the Individual Service Plan, maintaining a clean and sanitary home environment to meet CARF safety regulations, and assisting in coordinating transportation for persons served. Teamwork with fellow staff members is essential to ensure the highest quality of IDD services. Proficiency in computer skills is required. Additionally, the position requires monitoring and documenting persons served progress in treatment. Flexibility to work varying hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Direct Support Professional will be supervised by the Site Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED; required
  • Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is required.
