About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join the team in Erie County, PA. BAYADA’s special needs caregivers - Direct Support Professionals DSPs - work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. We are PART-TIME and provide flexibility with scheduling through various shift locations and times throughout Erie County, PA. We are needing compassionate and reliable DSPs to work 2:1 with a female client in Erie, PA: Friday evenings Saturday all day Sunday all day Every other weekend is possible Must be experienced with behaviors

Requirements

• One year or more experience working with intellectual and development disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to transport clients to community activities
• Must be experienced with behaviors

Responsibilities

• Companion Services
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Spend time on the client's favorite hobbies and activities
• In-Home and Community-Based Support
• Support the client's goals towards independence in the home and community
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Community Participation Services
• Participate in community integration activities to focus on socialization
