About The Position

Self-Direction DSP - Baldwinsville Area (Job #LB-GH) ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Baldwinsville area with a young man who requires assistance due to a developmental delay. The family is looking for a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assist him with maintaining his independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with exercise, meal preparation and general independence. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus, but not required. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Work hours are flexible, preferrable Monday through Friday, 3pm - 6pm (average of 15 hours a week), and occasional hours on weekends if available and activity is during this time. Requirements

Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
