As a Float DSP, you’ll provide hands-on care and support for individuals in the community and within designated residential programs. You’ll assist people in achieving their personal goals, fostering independence, and enhancing their quality of life — all while bringing stability and support to teams with staffing needs. You’ll work across various locations based on need, supporting individuals and helping them: Identify and communicate their needs and preferences. Implement supports and services aligned with their Person-Centered Plan. Build skills and confidence for greater independence. Engage safely and meaningfully in their communities. This role relies on teamwork, flexibility, and compassion to ensure every person receives the highest level of care and respect. Float DSPs: Be willing to fill in at any of our Lehigh Valley residential programs, all different shifts. Must commit to at least 4 shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours) per two-week schedule, including one weekend shift . Must work two of six winter holidays : Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Eve (night)/Black Friday (day), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day. Must work one summer holiday : Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day. May be assigned to multiple units based on need and skill set. Are not eligible for special pay or bonuses provided by other units, unless approved by leadership. Serve in temporary, as-needed positions based on program requirements.
