Requirements

  • High School / GED graduation required.
  • Medication Administration certified or will obtain within 60 days of starting date and maintains certification throughout employment completing continuing education and recertification requirements as defined by SOAR365 in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers purposeful age-appropriate activities and supports for participants.
  • Implements activities, using specified training techniques and interventions, related to, but not limited to, developing participant social interaction skills, personal hygiene training, motor skill coordination, and activities etc.
  • Collaborates with other staff within Day Support and Respite programs.
  • Administers medications to participants as required.
  • Ensures participants are engaged in activities and offers choice to participants.
  • Treats all participants with dignity and respect.
  • Learns safety procedures and how to correctly use belts and straps in vehicles.
  • Teamwork is displayed daily with peers.
