About The Position

Typical Life Corporation is a fun, rewarding place to start a career! Our Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) support those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities daily to live their lives to the fullest. DSPs work hands-on with individuals in their daily living activities. Every day is different with community outings, daily support, and person-centered care. If you are someone who has a heart for helping others, a career as a DSP may be for you. This is a Full-Time (40-hour) floater position- Days, hours, and locations may vary. The schedule is provided one month in advance. Typical Life Corporation is now offering weekend/evening orientation classes! Requirements

  • A minimum of a High school diploma or GED
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Have a valid Driver’s license for at least three years
  • The ability to successfully obtain Act 13 and 33 clearances
  • Must successfully pass the Physical and TB
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to manipulate objects.
  • Reach with arms and hands below, at waist level, and above shoulder height.
  • Must be able to pull, push, lift, and carry at least 50 lbs. to assist in daily life skills, such as household chores, bathing, carrying groceries, physical rescue, and wheelchair assistance.
